"Natura morta" - Olio su tavoletta di Francesco Bosso, firmato in basso a sinistra. Datato al retro 1932. 

BOSSO FRANCESCO Nato a Vercelli il 27 dicembre 1864, morto a Torino nel 1933. Studiò nell'Istituto delle Belle Arti della sua città col Bonino e col Costa. All'inizio della sua carriera artistica si dedicò alla decorazione e alla scenografia, eseguendo parecchi lavori in palazzi, chiese e teatri d'Italia, Francia e Svizzera. Per l'Esposizione coloniale di Genova compose un grande Diorama del Canale di Panama, apprezzato e lodato. Si è dedicato in special modo ai quadri di fiori, frutta e nature morte, che gli hanno procurato vasta notorietà. Nel 1922 all'Esposizione vercellese figurarono quarantasette suoi dipinti, fra i quali: Sole dalle vetrate; Sale rustiche a Tournier; Fra gli scogli; Melanconia autunnale; Paesaggio Fontanesiane e nature morte.

BOSSO FRANCESCO Born in Vercelli on December 27, 1864, died in Turin in 1933. He studied at the Institute of Fine Arts of his city with Bonino and Costa. At the beginning of his artistic career he devoted himself to decoration and scenography, performing several works in palaces, churches and theaters in Italy, France and Switzerland. For the colonial exhibition in Genoa he composed a large Diorama of the Panama Canal, appreciated and praised. He devoted himself especially to the paintings of flowers, fruit and still lifes, which have earned him great notoriety. In 1922 at the Vercelli Exposition there were forty-seven of his paintings, among which: Sun from the windows; Rustic rooms in Tournier; Among the rocks; Autumn melancholy; Fontanesian landscape and still lifes.
